NAME: Takoda
HANDLER: Laura LoPresti

BREED: German Shepherd
CERTIFICATIONS: Takoda is certified in wilderness air scent. Takoda is also a certified Type II disaster dog as well as a certified Therapy Dog.

Laura is President and one of the founding members of NJ Rescue & Recovery K-9 Unit. She has been a SAR dog handler since 1997. Takoda is her third SAR dog.

NAME: Sabre
HANDLER: Donna Hreniuk

BREED: German Shepherd
CERTIFICATIONS: Sabre is certified in HRD for land searches. Sabre is also a certified Type II HRD disaster dog and has his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification.

Donna is Training Director and one of the founding members of NJ Rescue & Recovery K-9 Unit. She has been a SAR dog handler since 1989. Sabre is her third SAR dog.

NAMES: Griffin and Remus
HANDLER: Jennifer Michelson

BREED: German Shepherd
CERTIFICATIONS: Griffin is certified in wilderness air scent. Griffin is also a certified Type I disaster dog and has his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Remus is working towards his HRD certification.

Jennifer is Secretary and Medical Officer and has been with NJ Rescue & Recovery K-9 Unit since 2006. She has her SARTEC II certification.

NAME: Stryker
HANDLER: Steve Tepper

BREED: German Shepherd
CERTIFICATIONS: Stryker is certified in wilderness air scent.

Steve has been with NJ Rescue & Recovery K-9 Unit since January 2009.

NAME: Joe
HANDLER: Linda Blumig

BREED: German Shepherd
CERTIFICATIONS: Linda is our Base Camp Operator.

Linda joined the NJ Rescue & Recovery K-9 Unit in 2010.

NAME: Bogey
HANDLER: Stephanie Struble

BREED: German Shepherd
CERTIFICATIONS: Bogey is working toward his wilderness air scent certification. Bogey also has his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification.

Stephanie joined the NJ Rescue & Recovery K-9 Unit in 2010.

HANDLER: Kyle Deserio

CERTIFICATIONS: Dutchess is working towards her wilderness air scent certification.

Kyle has been with NJ Rescue & Recovery K-9 Unit since July 2011.
